About Adopt Me Calculation (AMC)
The story behind the Adopt Me Calculator, who built it, and how we keep values accurate.
Adopt Me Calculation (AMC) is an independent, community-built trade value calculator for the Roblox game Adopt Me!. Our goal is simple: give every player a fast, free, and honest way to check whether a trade is fair before they accept it.
Why We Built AMC
Adopt Me! has been one of the most played Roblox games for years, and trading is at the heart of the experience. But the game itself does not show item values, and brand-new traders — often younger players — get scammed every single day. We have all seen it: a friend trades a Mega Neon pet for a Default of much lower value because nobody told them what the pet was actually worth.
We started AMC to make that less common. Instead of memorizing tier lists, joining ten different Discords, or watching YouTube videos before every trade, players can drop their pets into AMC, see a clear total for both sides, and decide for themselves. The tool is built to be fast on mobile, because that is where most Adopt Me! trading happens.
What We Do
AMC maintains a database of community-averaged values for Adopt Me! pets, eggs, and items. We track variants — Default, Ride, Fly, Neon, and Mega — so the calculator can show accurate totals for any combination. We also publish guides, FAQs, and longer trading articles to help newer players learn the trade economy without getting taken advantage of.
How Our Values Are Sourced
Adopt Me! values are not official — they emerge from community trading. We compile values using a mix of inputs:
- Public trade activity in popular Adopt Me! trading communities.
- Community-published value lists and tier lists.
- Observed trade outcomes for rare and off-sale pets.
- Adjustments after major events, updates, and seasonal releases.
Values get reviewed regularly. When demand for a pet shifts noticeably or a new pet is released, we update the database. We always pick a reasonable middle estimate rather than chasing extreme highs or lows.
Our Principles
No signup, no paid tier, no "premium" features locked behind a paywall.
The calculator runs in your browser so results show up instantly, even on mobile.
We label values as community estimates, not as official prices, because that is what they are.
Our goal is to help players avoid scams, not push them toward any specific trade.
Who Built AMC?
AMC is built and maintained by a small independent team of Adopt Me! players and web developers. We are not part of Uplift Games or Roblox Corporation, and we are not paid by either company. We started this as a side project because we wanted a calculator we could trust ourselves.
Not Affiliated With Roblox or Adopt Me
Adopt Me Calculation (AMC) is a fan-made, unofficial tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way connected to Roblox Corporation or Uplift Games. "Adopt Me!" and all related names, logos, and pet designs are trademarks of their respective owners. We use them only to identify the items being valued.
How We Stay Independent
Running a value database that thousands of players rely on comes with one ongoing risk: pressure to inflate or deflate specific pets to favour certain traders or sellers. We take that risk seriously. AMC does not accept payment to move any pet's listed value up or down, we do not run sponsored content disguised as guides, and we do not partner with third-party trading platforms in ways that influence what numbers appear on the site.
The site is supported by standard, non-intrusive display advertising. That revenue covers hosting, database updates, and the time it takes to keep articles current. It does not influence which values get published or which pets get featured. Every visitor sees the same numbers based on the same methodology, regardless of where they came from or which devices they use.
Our Editorial Standards
Articles on the blog are written by people who actively trade in Adopt Me!. We don't auto-generate filler content, and we don't outsource guides to writers who have never opened the game. When a post covers how to spot a scam, it's because the scam has been documented happening to real players. When a post recommends a trading strategy, it's one we've tried ourselves or seen consistently work for experienced traders we trust.
We also try to be honest about what we don't know. Some pets have so little stable trade data that any single number is essentially a guess; in those cases the guides will say so rather than pretend a definitive answer exists. Where opinions differ within the community, we'll lay out the major positions instead of pretending one is the official truth.
Privacy and Account Safety
AMC never asks for your Roblox login, password, recovery codes, or any account credential. The calculator does not connect to your Roblox account, cannot make trades on your behalf, and cannot read what is in your inventory. Everything the tool does happens inside your own browser, using only the items you add manually on the trade screen.
If any website, Discord user, or YouTube comment claims to be from AMC and asks for your Roblox credentials to "boost values," "verify your trades," or "unlock premium values" — that is a scam. Close the page, do not enter anything, and please let us know through the contact page so we can warn other players. There is no legitimate situation in which a value calculator needs your Roblox login.
What's Coming Next
The roadmap is shaped by what real players ask for in the contact inbox. Some items actively being worked on or considered include:
- Shareable trade links. Send a link to a friend that opens AMC with both sides of a trade pre-filled, so screenshots become optional.
- Trade history. A simple local history of recent comparisons you've run, kept on your own device.
- Expanded item coverage. Deeper data on pet wear, vehicles, and limited-event items that often get under-valued in casual trades.
- Improved mobile interactions. Faster pet selection on small screens and a smoother variant-switch experience for one-handed use.
- More trader-focused tools. Beyond the calculator, small utilities aimed specifically at active Adopt Me traders, based on community requests.
None of these change the core promise: a fast, free, accurate trade checker that respects your time and your account safety. New features will roll out only when they actually make the experience better, not for the sake of looking active.
Get in Touch
Spotted a value that looks wrong? Found a bug? Want a pet added to the database? Head to our Contact page and let us know. We read every message and update the site regularly based on community feedback. For more details about how trades and values work, check the FAQ page or browse the blog. Real player feedback is by far the biggest reason AMC has improved over time, and every fix or new feature you see today started with someone taking a minute to send in a note.
